EXCELLENT Based on 114 reviews Robert M2025-02-24Verified Charming, comfortable and clean with a sauce of friendliness! Stayed in the old farm house itself. A lovely friendly establishment, A great place to chill out for our couple of days.Beautiful surroundings the house itself over 350 years old I believe, with its high ceilings and quirky layout. Loved the way they have kept an old worldly look throughout, keeping its charm intact. Found it very comfortable and clean . Now go and chill and embrace and recharge yourself. nellekesheldrick2025-01-27Verified Absolutely fabulous! Absolutely brilliant! We ( my 2 dogs and I) were welcomed by super friendly and very helpful manager(s), a lovely room with a view, the best, best porridge I've ever tasted, accompanied by fabulous berry compote and maple syrup. Spotlessly clean room, got offered dog blankets and treats, there was a well fenced off 1 acre paddock for the dogs to run around in, in the woods. All the other staff were very lovely too. I was only going to stay for one night but stayed for an extra one. I will definitely be back!! ExpertReviewer992024-09-08Verified Spectacular Stay Wow! These cottages staged a long-awaited group reunion, with friends travelling from Leeds, York, Ireland and the Netherlands for the occasion. It turned out to be the perfect base for our weekend in Scotland. We stayed in a cosy cottage with the world's comfiest beds. We enjoyed catching up and playing cards both outside and in the comfortable lounge area. We had absolutely everything we needed. Location wise, it couldn't have been much better. We felt as though we were quite remote yet had the local town and Co-Op within a quick drive. Perfect! treedog472024-08-21Verified Very welcoming place Lovely place to stay on our way to the north of Scotland. Great large room. Lovely breakfast. The main highlight was the very welcoming atmosphere. Our dogs really enjoyed the secure paddock. We wouldn't hesitate in staying here again. Porridge is the best! Katie H2024-08-12Verified Lovely location but disappointed by faulty ammenities Our recent stay at Killean Cottages near Inverary was unfortunately marked by some significant disappointments. While the cottage had a few positive aspects, such as being self-catering with a reasonably equipped kitchen and a washing machine, these were overshadowed by basic ammenty issues that detracted from the overall experience. The most glaring problem was the showers, which were faulty and had no hot water despite all switches being on and there being hot water available to the sinks both upstairs and downstairs. This meant that after long days of walking and hiking, we were left without any bathing facilities for two days. A functioning shower is a basic expectation of any accommodation, and the absence of this was frustrating. When we raised the issue with the manager, we were informed that a plumber would be coming to fix the problem. However, upon checking out, the manager casually mentioned, "Oh yes - he didn’t come." This response added to our dissatisfaction, as it felt like our concerns were not taken seriously. The scenery around Killean Cottages is indeed lovely, but unfortunately, the lack of basic amenities like a working shower overshadowed what could have been a pleasant stay. I hope management and the owners take these issues seriously in the future. James d2024-06-30Verified Clean , comfy & friendly in a quiet location . Very dog friendly Overnight stay on the way to Skye we found Killean farmhouse B&B in a fantastic peaceful setting. Our room Lomond was large , very clean and our bed comfortable Mike & Jay the new managers were very friendly and welcoming and we chose this stop over as stated dog friendly which it really is large private grounds to walk your dog as well as a fenced off paddock as short distance from the accommodation to let your dog off if recall isn’t great which is an amazing bonus The breakfast was ok with porridge and a continental style buffet I would have liked an option of a cooked breakfast ( Mike and Jay have only been here for 2 weeks and working hard building the offer so hopefully they can accommodate this in the future for guests Over all facilities excellent , great location for peace and quiet a shot drive out of Inveraray with great friendly team Lorna P2024-06-22Verified Excellent last minute break A warm, friendly welcome from Mike & his colleague on arrival. Cottage (Willow) was spotlessly clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. Well equipped, everything provided for self-catering. Very cosy with log burner. Beautiful, well maintained grounds to stroll round, huge enclosed dog paddock, good path with steps leading up to it (tho not suitable to reach if you have mobility issues). Lost count of how many "pet friendly" holiday lets I've had, I can honestly say this is by far the best, genuinely 100% welcome your dogs. Had a chilled out relaxing 3 nights and will definitely return soon. Thank you. clifford16thomas2024-05-28Verified It Does What it Says on the Tin A large B&B some 4 miles outside the delightful town of Inveraray, Killean famhouse does what it says on the tin. Large en-suite bedrooms, adequately furnished with a lounge facility, wi-fi and parking. The owners were welcoming and the self-service continental breakfast was more than sufficient in terms of quantity and variety. There were signs of some refurbishment being underway and I am sure the facility will coninue to offer guests a comfortable, quiet stay for some time. We would return. Clan A2024-05-13Verified Loved it! We had such a lovely time at Killean in one of their holiday cottages. The cottage provided everything you needed for a self catering break and more. Loved the little extras like tea/coffee/sugar/salt and pepper etc. Top quality bed linen, pillows and duvets. A great night's sleep and bedrooms had plenty of storage and were also equipped with heaters and fans. Spotlessly clean and lovely homely touches all round. Great value, especially if you're using the cottage to capacity. There was a field available that had been repurposed as a dog exercise paddock, we used this with our own dogs. It was completely fenced off and safe to let your dogs off the lead and run free with plenty of room. It was accessed via a beautiful little woodland area. A dog friendly place to stay with added touches of treats and blankets for your four legged family. The farm was situated in a perfect location, rural enough for peace and quiet but a short enough distance to Inveraray to access all the amenities. It was a perfect base for exploring the area. We just wished that we'd had more time there. We would definetly return and would also highly recommend to friends and family etc. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

Killean Farmhouse Is very cozy and a relaxing place. We were very welcome by the hosts. We enjoyed our stay in October. The B&B is nearby Inveraray. You can find there restaurants and a castle to visit. Janette (Jan)2024-10-07Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
